Iran hails Iraq over fall of ISIL in Mosul

TEHRAN, Jul. 01 (MNA) – Iran’s FM Spokesman while felicitating Iraqi government over the heavy defeat of ISIL terrorists in Mosul, called for collective efforts to eradicate ideological and financial roots of terrorism.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi extended his congratulations to the government, natioan, Armed Forces, popular forces and all religious scholars and ethnic groups in Iraq over the liberation of Mosul, the northern city that served as ISIL's de facto capital in Iraq.

Ghasemi further wished for the continuation of stability, peace and prosperity for the people within the framework of a unified and democratic Iraq, stressing the need for a collective regional fight against ideological and financial roots of terrorism.

He also voiced Iran’s readiness to provide assistance to regional nations and governments until the complete eradication of terrorists in the Middle East has been realized.
